The Hathors
 THE SEVEN HATHORS were avatars of Hathor who were worshiped locally in the Seven Cities of ancient Egypt. Osanna only needs FOUR lieutenants because there's only one city. Clovia is the escort for the newcomers, Ginger is Osanna's right-hand woman and confidant, Sugar is the spokesperson and MC for events, and Yumi is the dresser, makeup and hair expert who keeps everyone beautiful.

 

GEEK TIME

 

Doing a project like "The Flower Chamber" is more like making a movie than a comic book. Set building and dressing, costumes, lighting, photographic direction. I used the creations of many talented modelers to make this possible. Everyone will be credited in the final book. All art rendered in Firefly from PoserPro 10.

 Sometimes you don't get what you expect.
When I was writing the script for "The Flower Chamber," I was picturing Rev. Jonah Starkweather,  head of the "Church of the Rapture" in the domed city of Manhope, as a scrawny, Milquetoast kind of guy who was pushing himself too hard. Not really a match for 8,000-year-old Goddess Hathor (Osanna). But this weekend when I finally got around to creating the character ....
Well, like I said. I sat down to create my scrawny chicken adversary, and who should audition for the job but a mature, solid, battle-hardened leader, every bit Osanna's match. Their first face-off will have more dramatic punch than I expected, and will end surprisingly.

  OSANNA is the name of the heroine, boss, and Goddess of the House of Hathor. She may be over 100 years old, or over 6000 years old. Nobody knows for sure. She claims to be the reincarnation of the Goddess Hathor. She is here to spread love, music, and happiness in the worst of times. Can she do it?

  Joanne (or her 10x great granddaughter) is a familiar face to Omaha the Cat Dancer fans, but she needed to be here. And so is Chuck, as a bystander for the futuristic fun and furor. She must be a member of the organization because she's wearing the ceremonial garment.

After a few weeks of paralysis, and a few days of frantically catching up on cleaning the Omaha pages for the German publisher, I'm back to work on The Flower Chamber.

What that means usually, is creating another batch of characters. This time it's new recruits. Osanna's people under the Dome are not thinking about social distancing; they're out to do away with it.

Liza is the name of the young lady in a hurry. Don't be fooled by the trappings, she's of age. Osanna interviews all the recruits herself, and they are all screened by the system.

Liza loves sex and thinks about it all the time ... that, and shoes.
